DTE is partnering with The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) to recognize and support scientific excellence and technological innovations at Michigan universities through the DTE E-Challenge. This challenge seeks new technologies to reduce energy waste at commercial and industrial facilities in DTE’s service territory. The challenge encourages submissions of an energy conservation measure (ECM) that is not already a commercialized energy efficiency measure for the State of Michigan. The goal is to identify and demonstrate a new opportunity for commercial and industrial DTE Energy customers to meet their ever-increasing energy waste reduction goals. If deemed viable, these new opportunities will be submitted to the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) to become commercialized ECMs. Guidance and criteria for what is required for a new ECM will be provided by DTE.
